![]() In grade eleven, I was fortunate enough to take a high school trip to London, England, and Paris, France. ![]() In that moment, I felt a sense of wonder and amazement that I was really here studying abroad which was something I had wanted for years. I marveled at the incredible greenery and adorable bunnies before me. For the first time, though, UEA felt familiar to me and I saw it as a place I could call home for the next little while. I had been acquainted with the UEA campus briefly the night before when I arrived. ![]() I forced myself to take periodic breaks on the walk from the bus back to my residence which involved shuffling and repositioning bags in an attempt to bring my shoulders some relief and also to keep the bags from breaking open. I was returning from a long day of shopping in Norwich’s City Centre, an event organized by the Study Abroad Office, and my arms were lined full with numerous bags containing very heavy, though necessary, household items. I spent my first true moments at UEA contemplating if it was physically possible for my shoulders to detach from the rest of my body.
